What is reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a form of Pilates performed on a specialized machine called a reformer.
The moving carriage and spring resistance allow exercises that build strength, flexibility and stability through controlled, low-impact movement. Rather than relying on speed or intensity, reformer Pilates focuses on breath, precision and alignment. Small, deliberate movements activate deep muscles and support better posture, balance and body awareness.

Do I need Pilates experience to join a class?

Not at all. Many clients begin with little or no Pilates experience. Instructors guide each movement carefully and offer modifications to suit all levels. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before class, so we can walk you through using the machine and show you around our studio.

How do I sign up or book a class?

Classes can be booked directly through our online schedule. Once you create your account, you can easily reserve classes, purchase packages and manage your bookings in just a few steps.

How much is a class?

Stilhaus offers several ways to attend classes, including single drop-in sessions, class packs and monthly memberships. Full pricing and package options can be viewed through the booking system when reserving your class.

Do you offer memberships?

Yes. Membership options are available for those who want to make Pilates part of their regular routine. Members enjoy consistent access to classes and priority booking, making it easier to maintain a weekly practice.

What should I wear or bring to class?

Comfortable movement clothing is recommended, along with grip socks for safety on the reformer. Everything else you need for class is provided at the studio. Simply arrive a few minutes early to settle into the space.

How do I get to the studio?

There is very limited street parking around the Stilhaus studio, so we do recommend taking public transportation or rideshare (Uber/Lyft) here to avoid being late to your chosen class. 

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving 10 minutes before class so you can check in and settle into the space.

How often should I attend to see results?

Two to three sessions per week is ideal for building strength and noticing meaningful progress.

Can I cancel or reschedule a class?

Classes can be rescheduled according to the studio’s booking policy, which will be outlined within the booking system. Group classes require 12 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Private sessions require 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations will result in a $68 fee and forfeiture of the session. Late entry after 5 minutes will not be permitted.

What’s the studio etiquette?

We kindly ask that you don’t use your phone or take any photos or videos during sessions. You are absolutely welcome to take content before and after class, though.

What should I do if I have an injury or limitation?

If you have an injury, we recommend letting your instructor know before class begins. Pilates movements can often be modified to accommodate different needs, and our instructors will guide you toward adjustments that feel safe and supportive. For more specific concerns or rehabilitation goals, private sessions may be recommended.
